Macaran Baird, MD, MS, from the University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, will deliver the 23rd annual Herbert Lourie Memorial Lecture on Health Policy on Friday, October 21, 2-3:30pm at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel, 801 University Avenue, Syracuse, NY. Dr. Baird will present “Improving Overall Health by Merging Mental Health Care and Primary Care.”
Dr. Baird has been professor and head of the University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine and Community Health since July 2002. Baird is also the board of directors’ chair for UCare Minnesota, the fourth largest Minnesota HMO.
The Herbert Lourie Memorial Lecture is jointly sponsored by Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the Central New York Community Foundation, Inc., and administered by the Center for Policy Research.
