Maxwell “SectorConnect” Launched on LinkedIn

To better facilitate connections and collaborations between Maxwell school alumni, faculty, and current students who work (or aspire to work!) in the same sector, Maxwell Alumni Relations has recently launched SectorConnect. This LinkedIn-based networking space is devoted to specific fields and sectors Maxwell alums lead in, faculty members have expertise in, and students aspire to become a part of.

Previously, Maxwell alumni from across the globe have been able to network and connect via Regional Groups. With this new tool, members of the Maxwell community can now connect both geographically, as well as by their areas of work. These groups will act as hubs for networking, sharing of sector-related research and news/journal articles, job postings, and more.

From Environment & Energy to National & International Security and Defense to International Development – SectorConnect has your field covered! For a full list of SectorConnect subgroups and well as links to join, visit the Alumni Relations website.

Each group will have designated moderators to act as resources for the various groups connecting in the space: student moderators will help alumni connect with current students, faculty moderators will help with technical questions and resources for various industry-based questions, and alumni moderators will help both students and faculty gain insights from current professionals in the field.

While some groups have already officially “launched,” others are just getting started. If you are interested in being an alumni, faculty, or student moderator to help launch the other groups, please contact Alumni Relations at Please note that in order to join SectorConnect, you must already be connected to the official Maxwell School LinkedIn page. If you haven’t done that already, please connect with us here.

We look forward to seeing you on SectorConnect!
