Lt. Gary Clark ’11 MPA Commands NY Army National Guard in Ithaca

gary clark blog pic1st Lieutenant Gary Clark, ’08 BA Policy Studies and ’11 MPA with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Security Studies, has taken command of the New York Army National Guard’s Ithaca-based Company D 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry. He replaces Capt. Timothy Pasto as the company’s leader.

In 2000, Clark enlisted in the Army and served on active duty in the Signal Corps. In 2005 he joined the NY Army National Guard as an infantryman. Clark is qualified as a Ranger and he also holds the Army parachutist badge.

In 2012, Clark deployed to Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry, where he served as the operational liaison officer to the NATO-led Regional Command West Headquarters in Herat City.
