Alum Spotlight Banner

Rachel Roberts-Pickett is a certified project manager (PMP®) for real estate development firm, Red Leaf Investments, LLC, where she provides program and financial management services. She currently lives in Dallas, TX with her husband, Steve and their almost 2-year-old son, Syeed.

Prior to Red Leaf, she served for seven years as a management consultant for the public sector consulting firm, Hagerty Consulting, carrying out post-Hurricane Katrina local government and community redevelopment work in New Orleans, LA, and on the gulf coast of Mississippi. Despite often difficult circumstances-sporadic electricity, no potable water, 60-to-80-hour workweeks, and a seemingly endless supply of applicants who have lost everything-Rachel felt fortunate to have a job that allowed her to implement federal policies. Before pursuing her advanced studies at Maxwell, Rachel worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce in several public affairs and community relations roles.

Rachel’s favorite aspect of her studies at the Maxwell School was the diversity of the student population and the variety of experiences each student brought to the school. Among her favorite Maxwell professors were Drs. David Richardson, Jeremy Shiffman, Beverley Mullings, John Mathiason and S.N. Sangmpam. She especially appreciated their unique teaching styles and passion for their subject matters.

Rachel can be contacted at rpickett2000@gmail.com.
