Sean Herron ’11 BA PSt Awarded Prestigious Presidential Fellowship

alum-news.buttonSean Herron ’11 BA PSt has been named a Presidential Innovation Fellow (PIF), a program established in 2012 that pairs top innovators from the private sector, non-profits, and academia with top innovators in government.  Herron will spend the next 12 months working in the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President.  He is part of the Open Data Initiatives project, intended to accelerate and expand efforts to make government information resources more publicly accessible in “computer-readable” form and to spur the use of those data by entrepreneurs as fuel for the creation of new products, services, and jobs.
