This November marked the second annual Ibadat-e-Aman (Worship of Peace) event. Initiated and organized by Maxwell Alum Sandeep Silas (pictured, left), this year’s Ibadat-e-Aman, taking place in New Delhi, hosted prominent Indian and Pakistani musicians and performers to create a “Bridge of Peace” through art and cultural exchange. Sandeep’s book of ghazals, Ranai-e-Khayal (Beauty of Thoughts), was also released amidst the performances. Finally, Sandeep spoke of his Garland of Peace project, which campaigns to declare all war ruins in the world as Peace Heritage Sites, to take yet another step towards peace building, peace education and peace tourism.
