Syracuse DC Alumni Tutoring Corps
The founding principles of the Maxwell School engender alumni with a profound appreciation and dedication to improving the collective welfare of individuals and organizations across the globe. There are many ways we can make a difference right here in D.C.
The DC Maxwell Alumni Association is participating in a Saturday Academy tutoring program at Truesdell Educational Campus, located slightly north of the Petworth metro station in Columbia Heights. We’re seeking new corps members to join our efforts and help prepare students, from second to eighth grade, for the upcoming D.C. ANET and CAS tests. Whether you can only join us for one Saturday, or would like to become a regular tutor at Saturday Academy, your support ensures students in Ward 4 have bountiful high school, college and career opportunities in their futures.
Please sign up by cutting and pasting the information below into an email and send it to Caitlin Horgan, the Maxwell Community Service Co-Chair, at Caitlin.Horgan@dc.gov. Please indicate which date(s) you prefer. We’re looking for roughly 15-20 tutors for each session, so please invite friends and family to join our efforts. If you have any questions about our initiative in this work please feel free to Caitlin. No previous tutoring experience is necessary.
