Attention New York City Alums – Your Help Needed for Graduate Student Networking Trip

5th Annual New York City Graduate Student Networking Trip
March 6-7, 2014

Greetings, Maxwell Alumni!

We are excited to announce that many of this year’s graduate students will be traveling to New York City in early March to learn more about careers in public service on March 6-7, 2014. Current Maxwell students are incredibly excited about the trip, as well as the opportunity to engage with you, the amazing people who make up the Maxwell family.  This trip wouldn’t be possible without support from alums like you.Here’s how you can help with this year’s trip:

HOUSING:

While many students in our class have NYC area connections, many students still need housing. Our students are considerate, tidy guests who will make every effort to work around your schedule. Whether you have an extra room, open couch, or floor space for a blow-up mattress, our students would greatly appreciate your assistance in keeping this trip affordable.  Most students will arrive Thursday night, March 6 and depart on Friday, March 7 or Saturday, March 8 (1-2 nights).

If you are able to host a student for one or both nights, please take 5 minutes and complete the following survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1J4QYHi3iXo5Wo3dgOFamZ9wgqbd39cHn3OUyZ49A_rA/viewform. Please fill out the survey by February 23 so we can get  information out to students in a timely manner.

COFFEE CHATS:

We also wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in hosting small coffee chats with students on Thursday March 6, Friday, March 7, or Saturday, March 8. The chats would provide a chance for you to meet the new class and tell them about your own professional development in an informal setting.

After receiving your contact information, we will share it with interested students who will get in touch with you directly to schedule a meeting.
