Selina Carter ’12 MPA/IR, ’13 MA (Econ) is a research analyst for Jameel Poverty Action Lab in Nampula, Mozambique.

The Jameel Poverty Action lab, or J-PAL, is based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The research institution connects a global network of experts who use randomized evaluations to answer critical policy questions in the fight against poverty. J-PAL’s mission is to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is based on scientific evidence, and research is translated into action.
