Conservation International names Rebekah Nowak ’12 BA (IR) their regional global environment facility coordinator

Rebekah Nowak ’12 BA (IR) is now the regional global environment facility coordinator with Conservation International in Arlington, Virginia. The mission of Conservation International is to build upon a strong foundation of science, partnership and field demonstration. They work to empower societies to be responsible and sustainably care for nature, our global biodiversity, and for the well-being of humanity. Before Nowak’s position as the regional global environment facility coordinator, she served as the internal and field communication associate for the organization. In that role she was responsible for assembling and editing scientific publications/information to present on an intranet blog in order to integrate personnel from over 40 field offices and programs while working with the news, media and public relations teams. In addition to her work at Conservation International, Nowak currently works as an Amazonia education interpreter at the Smithsonian Institution.
