Prior to her role as the associate vice president, Santos served as the national technical director for water business advisory services at ARCADIS. She was responsible for shaping strategy, thought leadership, service and technical capabilities, and market offerings to implement differentiated, high-quality solutions for clients’ existing and emerging business issues and needs. Santos supported water, waste water and solid waste clients in developing sustainable financial plans and acquiring bond financing, evaluating the impacts of regionalization/consolidation/outsourcing, and developing the business case for new or expanded services.
Prior to beginning her career with ARCADIS, Santos was the associate director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2 Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at Syracuse University. There she worked with public, private and non-profit technical assistance providers and funding agencies to create financially, socially and environmentally sustainable solutions to the difficult “how-to-pay” issues of environmental protection and improvement.
Santos graduated from the Maxwell School in 2002 with a master’s degree in public administration.
