On June 4th, 2014, Julio Amador III became assistant director of the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) located in Manila, the Philippines. He was appointed by the president upon nomination of FSI’s board, and will be working under the leadership of Secretary Albert Del Rosario. In this new role Amador will provide technical assistance and expertise to support the mission of the FSI. Amador had already worked for FSI for seven years prior to this appointment, as a researcher and analyst.
Last year Julio Amador earned a master’s degree in international relations and a certificate of advanced studies from the Maxwell School.
