Chad Underwood was recently named chief executive officer of Access to Independence, a family-friendly organization that serves persons with disabilities, their friends, family, and caregivers. In 2007, Underwood started as a volunteer for the organization. By 2009, he worked his way up to chief operating office and is now the CEO.
Prior to his work at Access to Independence, Underwood served as director of government affairs for the Albany-based consulting firm Mackin and Company and as senior project manager for the San Diego-based health care organization AMN.
Underwood graduated from the Maxwell School in 1998 with a master’s degree in public administration.
