Joseph Simon has recently accepted an offer from Grant Thornton to work in their Global Public Sector as a Senior Associate. Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading organizations of independent audit, tax, and advisory firms.
Prior to his position at Grant Thornton, Mr. Simon served as a management consultant for Hagerty Consulting. In this role he advised many of the City of New York’s public agencies, such as the Departments of Transportation, Sanitation, Environmental Protection, and Parks and Recreation, as well as the Office of Emergency Management on federal reimbursement strategy for damages caused by Hurricane Sandy. Additionally, he provided management and analytical support for over $22 million dollars in expense tracking and capital projects.
Mr. Simon graduated from the Maxwell School in 2012 with a master’s degree in Public Administration, where he also obtained an additional master’s degree in International Relations in 2013.
