Sha’Ron James ’98 MPA appointed state of Florida’s Insurance Consumer Advocate

Sha’Ron James was appointed the state of Florida’s Insurance Consumer Advocate. In her new position she will work to represent the needs of policyholders when insurance decisions are made. James has years of experience helping people in Florida with insurance related matters. Previously, she served as the director of the Department of Financial Services’ Division of Rehabilitation & Liquidation, which oversees complex litigation proceedings if a Florida insurance company faces financial failure.
