RG Head ’69 MPA/’71 PhD (PA) relases new book, “Oswald Boelcke: Germany’s First Fighter Ace and Father of Air Combat”

RG Head published his new book, Oswald Boelcke: Germany’s First Fighter Ace and Father of Air Combat, by Grub Street Publishing (London). The book explores the trials and tribulations of early aviation during World War I. Before retirement, Head served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as the military assistant to the Under Secretary for Policy and in the Joint Staff as the special assistant to the Director for JCS Matters. After being promoted to Brigadier General he served in Italy as Deputy Commander of 5 ATAF and the Air Staff. He lives in Coronado, Calif. with his wife, Carole, and has four children and five grandchildren.
